Yes, you're right Dedworth. Only 803cc in the A30, going up to 948cc in the A35. (First Mini engine was 848, but still A-series).
The A30/A35 engine was shared with the early Morris 1000s too.
Did you know that the original Mini prototype was fitted with an A35 nose to help disguise it when it was being 'road-tested' ?![]()
