Mr Mison and the BI have shady reputations,i know a guy, british, who this july or august will have been enjoying their hospitality for 2 years,he isnt exactly skint so maybe its in their best interests to hang onto him for as long as possible

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

This when the Phils can become a very scary place and the 'paradise' beaches soon forgotten...as well as you and your money in the bank, once you stand accused of one of the many crimes classed as non-bailable offences.

In stark contrast to the UK where prisons and prisoners are taken care of so much better than most residents in UK care homes.
    IMO

Having served over 14 years (March 1975~April 1989) as Records Officer for Social Services at Perth Prison - and regularly visited my elderly mother in law (who spent an even longer period in residential care) - , Peter ... your assessment is pretty much an accurate one for the "inmates" of each of these two [supposedly very different] forms of institution.

Yup. I suppose if you shout the loudest you get more attention and that's what the lags do. Not right though.

Comical - but sad too -I once witnessed a near "punch~up" between a couple of old biddies in a care home (NOT the one my mother-in-law was in though) ... and it wasn't a pretty sight really, if I'm being honest.
