    6 Month drought forecast for the Philippines

    Worst affected could be South-West Mindanao & Leyte with the drought lasting from July to December. Manila and the surrounding provinces could face a three month drought from October.

    Pagasa are every bit as useless at predicting the weather as was Michael Fish in 1987 and the BBC currently. The Philippine forecaster was 'forced' to admit last Tuesday that the dry season was over following several days of heavy rain affecting much of the country.

    Yes, , Jamie. Funnily enough, I'd seen a similar forecast earlier in the week - predicting a drought lasting up until December - and had intended reporting it on here too, but then my attention focussed on another issue and, for some unknown reason, ... I couldn't find the link when searching for it again.

    Most everywhere has had much more than expected.
    Some serious stuff yet to arrive.......if the forecasters are to be believed

    I read it will start in September.. Now they are saying Its July til November.
    Its July now and the ground is sodden!
    Lots more to come by the looks of it.
