    TB Test question

    Hi Guys,

I am planning to apply for my daughter's visa this month. I have not started her visa application nor registered an account in VISA4Uk yet. My question is can I book an appointment first for TB testing before I start her visa application? How long before you get the results of the TB testing?

I believe you would get the results of the TB screening the same day (few hours after the test) unless there are problems. My wife had to have a sputum test,as she was pregnant and her doctor wouldn't allow her to have an x ray. So we had a two month wait for results.

Yes you can book the appointment for the TB test before you register with VISA4UK, you only need supply the certificate to prove the test was negative at VFS when you submit your final application for whatever visa you require. But make sure you go to a VFS approved TB test center as your visa will be refused and you will be wasting a lot of money.

I'm sure if you are not sure that someone will help out with the name of the approved centers in one of the following posts...

The approved TB test centre for UKVI is:

International Organisation for Migration Health Centre
15th Floor, Units A and B Trafalgar Plaza
    105 H.V. dela Costa Street
    Salcedo Village
    Makati City 1227
    Metro Manila
    Tel: (632) 883-9339 or (632) 511-8771
Mob: (917) 593-4688 (globe operator) or (919) 993-4667 (smart operator)
    Fax: (632) 883-9377

    email: mhc.uk@iom.int

    Fee 3200 PHP

I believe the certificate if issued has a six month validity so will still need to be valid at the time of the visa application.
