Hmm ... I happened to notice this morning that the usual G0ogle logo had been temporarily supplanted by a hideously scary looking creature in order, apparently, to commemorate the birth of Eiji Tsuburaya.
None the wiser?... me neither ...
... until I checked with Wikipedia and discovered he'd been a Japanese 'special effects' film director, responsible for many Sci~ Fi movies and - most notably - co~creator of the 'Godzilla' series.
So ...there you are! Born July 7, 1901 in Fukushima! Died January 25, 1970 in *Shizuoka ... *an infinitely more respectable~sounding venue in which to "peg-out"!
