hi all.my wife applied for her visa 2 weeks ago.she called to say that she has recieved her passport and other doucments from the embassy.she says in her passport there is a sticker,she says it says entrance clearence to the uk valid from 28th december 2007 to 28th december 2009.she asked a couple there you have been to the uk is it her visa,they said yes.i find it hard to beleive she got her visa in 2 weeks.i hope it is,i miss her so much.can anyone you as got a visa tell me if your visa is on your passport,or anyone who knows about visas?

its not a sticker more of a fancy stamp with a holgram which takes most of the page it will have the picture she sent in and various swirls squiggle s and a hologram If i remeber correctly.

They normally write a letter to say if unsucessful i think but not if you are but things may have changed in the two and a bit years (wow how time files)

Great news and also that its for a later date so if she leaves late this year early in the new year within 28 days of the 28th of decemeber 07 she will have no problems getting her hands on ILR.

Any news? By the way our visa took about two weeks to go though and is possible i guess if everything is in order and hits the desk at the right time etc.
Now its arranging the filght, buying the rice cooker and electric blanket

indefinte leave after two years you have to renew your visa and it is for british residency.

thank you.i also want to thank all on this forum,without your help i dont think we would have got her visa.when i asked something i always got an answer.i cant thank the forum enought.i hope now i can help on here.

Congratulations for having the wife's visa!!!Like Andy have said, if u prepared very well and put on loads of evidences I am sure ECO cant find anything to turn down her applications..since ur wife has her visa now, tell her that she still need to have a CFO Sticker in her passport because the Immigration will not allow her to travel unless she have that on her passport..she will just have to attend two seminars but I will assure u it will not be a whole day activity..
