    Welcome to the forum!

My husband (the owner of this site) is also from Liverpool (a Scouser).

Anyway, you can read this thread for information about the visa process.

Hi Pam, welcome aboard Filipina Roses.

Just be aware that you'll need to submit pay slips and bank statements that are no older than 28 days at the date of application.

To understand all the documents and information needed for your online application here's alink to the downloadable paper forms:-

    Good luck

Remember you can't start the spouse visa process until the marriage certificate has Been endorsed. Also remember the Tb test has six months validity. The ielts English exam at A1 or higher (get B1 if you can) which has 2 years validity and the cfo seminar.

A1 And B1 are both valid for two years. A1 is good enough for spouse visa but doing B1 will mean you don't need to do another English test later as B1 or higher is required for ILR.

If your English is good enough go for life skills

CFO is a seminar all Filipinos have to attend before migrating to a foreign country. You need to attend and get the certificate. It costs 400 pesos. Once you get the spouse visa a stamp will be placed in your passport. You won't be able to leave without it.

You can do the seminar before you get the visa. You will need to take copies of your husbands passport with the stamps showing his visits to the Philippines. His plane e tickets and photos of you together. Take your marriage certificate and be prepared to answer questions about you're relationship. They will test to check it's genuine.

Also take nbi and police clearance. Your own passport and two valid ID.p

You dont need to change your passport name at all. Just use your current surname on the visa application. Its up to you. But you do need your endorsed marriage certificate.

You need to have an approved english exam. If you already have an IELTS or equivalent recognised approved english certificate then that's fine but you need to check its accepted. The IELTS life skills is the new approved exam in the Philippines that is accepted since April of this year. If you intend to work as a nurse in the UK though you will need the IELTS academic training exam with a score of 7 or higher. This is harder that the life skills test. If you just want to get a good enough result to get the spouse visa, then the IELTS life skills A1 is enough but you would need to take B1 later when in the UK the the ILR I believe.

Here is the list for the approved English Test (just checked the Philippines one): https://www.gov.uk/government/upload...st_Centres.pdf

You can choose between these 2 approved test providers in the Philippines.
