The trouble is these days anyone can put there foot on the throttle and keep it there , its stopping the thing quick , thats when the problems start,

Bloody hell Graham that was my truck too, a full load of carrots on the back, knock out of gear WOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW, then you just had to hear the right noise to flick it back in to keep up the speed,

junction 28/29 MI and the junction for Barnsley on the M1, those was the best hills and the M62 coming down toward Manchester, that went on for miles and miles

as he'd been driving on the quiet country roads of the 1950s of course ... as opposed to our modern motorways.
