I remember before limiters were brought in, I could get 90 showing on the speedo of my Bedford TK truck...in neutral.
's what my dad used to do ... he'd switch off the engine of his grocery van and coast downhill in neutral ... thus saving fuel. NOT that he was doing 90 mph, as he'd been driving on the quiet country roads of the 1950s of course ... as opposed to our modern motorways.
