...When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible...
I wonder if they'll be offering the never knowingly undersold policy ? I guess they've figured there's plenty of mug buyers / brand snobs to exploit![]()
I do admire the John Lewis partnership way of running a company
Trying to turn a profit just to keep the shareholders/hedge fund happy and at the expense of their own workers is what most other companies do
John Lewis makes a healthy profit so it cant be all bad
Our favourite store!![]()
I am hoping Aldi and Lidi are over there buy the time i get over,
All the Filipino's will be rushing to buy British products made in China!![]()

There's labels and then there's labels.
I always enjoyed browsing around John Lewis at Milton Keynes.
Their electrical stuff and gadgets etc were always very competitively priced.
As was a lot of their kitchen stuff.
Most of their furniture was not within my price range unless it was their Xmas/New Year sale.
Bought an excellent high quality Oak folding dining table from them in the sale at £89.99 down from £499.99 which we still have here in Davao.
Yep, stripped it and shipped it over in a BB
It's outside in our 'dirty kitchen', which is not dirty I hasten to add.
Apart from it's usefulness it's become a conversation piece due to it's design and compactness when completely folded down.
