Popping Off To Estoril, Near Lisbon, Portugal

Having just finished packing, checking passports, tickets, &c., Myrna and I are setting off mid-afternoon tomorrow for Edinburgh Airport ... staying overnight at the adjacent Holiday Inn Express prior to flying out very early on Thursday morning - to spend a week in (hopefully) glorious - returning 29 October.

*Hotel Londres in Estoril turned out to be an ideal choice of venue: Lovely setting ... fringed by tall palm trees; a nice swimming pool, plus all mod cons and - MOST IMPORTANTLY - exceptionally friendly staff ... along with being [very] conveniently located within easy commuting distance to Lisbon itself which ... as you'd mentioned Peter ... truly is a grand city to explore.

*Highly recommended!

Funnily enough ... their Reception Manager - a tall, slim [very helpful] chap called Pedro - reminded me of some of the photos you've posted in your various avatars. Not, of course, the current one on display - obviously!
