Thread: Philippines bracing itself for long battle against haze

    Apparently,they are not burning virgin forest but older Palm oil plantations...Seems its the quickest/cheapest way to replant their money crops..
    The western consumer agencies know all about this but its not in their financial interests to have this news in the papers!!
    Mean while the Barangay tell me Im not allowed to burn a few leaves as it is bad for our planet!
    What is the world coming to?

    I always enjoyed a good bonfire in the garden

    When I lived in India there was always a smell of Sandalwood from the many fires used for cooking.
