Sunday Trading Laws' Relaxation In England & Wales Put On Hold Following SNP Opposition

Quite rightly so ... according to SNP spokesman, Angus Robertson, amidst claims that moves to extend the present maximum 6 hours' opening restrictions south of the Border, would cut *shop workers' rates of pay in Scotland - where no restraints currently apply - and, in turn, adversely affect levels of remuneration for *such staff throughout the UK.

IMO, it should be up to businesses what (reasonable) hours they choose to open...as long as they aren't causing disturbance to their neighbours.
