You just submit your biometrics and the VFS officer will check your submitted documents and take the originals and copies and put them in two separate piles. then they will take them and they will be submitted as your application.

You will only hear from them if they either need more information to clarify something or when they have made a decision.

Thank you so much cheekee, this is my first time to apply for a settlement visa. Last 2014, i already been granted a family visit visa valid for 6 months. Then my in-laws doesnt want me to go back to Philippines ( you know, being a Filipina we are clean/tidy , helpful, obedient, a lot of good qualities and they like me lol) we talked to a solicitor ( a very good one, they said) but he told me i need to go back to Philippines to apply for settlement. All my documents are good for settlement visa, why I applied for a family visit ( me and my husband didn't know about that before, we thought i can apply straight to settlement whilst i am in the uk on a family visit, but nah) so now, all the documents are ready. i am nervous like having butterflies in my stomach or i don't know what to feel, maybe excited ( knowing we have all the requirements ) Maybe I just don't like the feeling of being denied. lol

Just

Thank you so much! How long did you receive your result after you submit the docs?
