Cebu-Mactan Airport to help ease NAIA congestion?

I don't mind the NAIA but given the choice I'd rather fly into Cebu

Hmm ... I've never experienced Ninoy Aquino International Airport ... only the Domestic Airport - BOTH times Myrna and I had to travel up to the British Embassy in Manila from Davao, vis-a-vis ('scuse pun) her Spousal Visa - so I'm not in a position to express an opinion one way or the other, Jamie. Although ... ... judging from what I have frequently read about it ... it would seem best-avoided at all costs.

It's not the best but I don't think it warranted the world's worst international airport tag it once had. The traffic around it is horrendous though, the polar opposite to Clark which is the better option should you be heading to the north of Manila.

NAIA Terminal 1 is not great, but I've been to worse (IMO Gatwick South and Paris CDG older terminals are no better). T3 has the best access, straight off the expressway. Nice hotel/casino opposite too. I've not been out there for over a year now, have they finished building that elevated road from SLEX/T3 around the perimeter, past the Millenium Falcon roundabout towards T1/2 yet? That should help with getting to T1/T2 a bit.
