There is nothing as queer as folk

Well they say there is nothing more queer then folk and its so right too,

The folk i work with are nothing more then that, there is one chap who comes up with the best excuses not to go out driving, i have hurt my foot, and i cannot wear my safety boots, i have gut ache ,i have hurt my arm the list goes on and on,
I must admit mainly he says this first thing in the morning so he thinks he can get away with this, anyway last Friday i had a bad day, it started on the night before and all work related and it really got my back up,

I walked into work on the Friday and asked who had not done something the day before and being as there are only the three of us in the office and with it not being me it must have been the two Dave's,

No answer from the two Dave's so i let both barrels of, told them what i thought of them and the whole day was silent, well silent towards me and all you could here was, Dave shall i do this and then Dave have you done that, its amazing how much work can be achieved by the two Dave's once they get into it,

Mondays going to be fun as one Dave is on holiday, i wonder how long it will be before he speaks thats if he has time to speak with all the work that i am not going to do ,

Life is sweet sometimes when you know you are on countdown

Part of my job is to allocate jobs to my team of 15 staff. My shift pattern works so I get to work with the whole off our workforce, roughly 90-100 over the course of 6-8 weeks. Off course I know who is the better at certain jobs, and on a busy shift will put my best people on certain jobs. Every now and then though I like to mix things up and give people jobs they aren't comfortable with... makes me unpopular, but I don't mind
All of the people who do my job (6 of us) have a meeting with the top boss Thursday evening. Not sure what about.... But hopefully I will be moving home and leaving soon anyway.

One of the most difficult tasks is managing people.
    IMHO

Even more so when you have responsibility for salary levels and performance related pay.
