The new qualifying format was rubbish. I don't now why they even changed it.

...When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible...
Hello Rayna, whilst being interviewed Lewis Hamilton was asked about the new Format for qualifying and he said it was perfect for himself but he was aware that fans were not keen on it, his suggestion was to try four different Formats over a period of four qualifying sessions and pick the one that suits both fans and drivers. Good Idea?
Well they're scrapping it already and will revert back to the old format in the next race.

Thank's for that Rayna, didn't know
Lewis has a penalty for new gearbox so will start tomorrows race in sixth position at the Chinese Grand Prix, will find out later today who will be in Pole position should be a good race as there is plenty of scope for overtaking. I don't care whose in Pole as long as it isn't Nico. Change of plan, Lewis now starting last due to engine problem during qualifying, shame really but I'm sure he'll do plenty of overtaking as long as he doesn't have any more problems.
Just going to watch Lewis be back later
Well, Lewis came second and to be in third position from tenth in the first seven laps was amazing, good race. Putin seemed to be enjoying it, he didn't get wet this time.
Sad to say, though I still watch the races, 50% of my interest has gone due to the rubbish-sounding hybrid things they are now driving, and all the petty rules and regulations.
It used to be about brave drivers and monster machines going as fast as possible.
More fun on my Xbox... watching my own replays back !
I can even drive most of the F1 tracks, plus the TopGear test tracks.

From the driver's seat... racing my old Lotus Esprit racer in the Alps:

I tell you what Michael. Give me an idea of what cars you'd like to see yourself racing in (Old classics from the 50s right up to present day exotica), and I'll sign write it up for you, give it a race, and then upload the replay to youtube so you can show your friends.
Michael... I don't have the (lovely) BRM... sorry.
Howabout a 1956 Jaguar D-Type, or an Aston Martin DBR1 ?
Jag would be nice thank you Graham
Ok mate... should have the video up in another couple of hours.
.
Here you are Michael... your D-Type Jaguar, just updated with a bit more power, modern tyres and some suspension and braking improvements to keep it competitive.

Here she is in action...
First... at the TopGear test track:

Here at the Silverstone GP circuit... very lively on the bends, because lacking in modern downforce 'spoilers' and 'wings', to go with the 500bhp.

Also, Silverstone, but from the driver's viewpoint:

Fantastic, love it, also is that British Racing Green?
You're welcome Michael. It's fun doing these little projects, just a shame that the quality of the videos is degraded when uploaded to youtube... but still, better than we had access to when we were youngsters, eh.
Yes... British racing green, of course.
(Oh, ta for the rep mate )
Lewis on Pole Position at Spanish Grand Prix, hope he has a good start tomorrow
Well Lewis and Nico really cocked it up costing Mercedes the price of a new A380 having said that a thrilling race as Max Verstappen won, the youngest driver ever to win a Grand Prix at only 18 years old, well done Max
Lewis in pole position for todays Canadian Grand Prix, should be an exciting race
i will be watching later
If you want your dreams to come true ...... first you have to wake up
Brilliant outcome, brilliant race, Hamilton, Vettel and Bottas made the podium, Max Verstappen really made Rosberg cry.
I've missed the last couple of races... being out here in 'the jungle'.
Should catch up soon though.
Just been watching the European Grand Prix practice session at Baku City street circuit in Azerbaijan, looks as though we could see a very exciting race on Sunday, great circuit
Oh good... I'll get to see that one. (I'm typing this in Abu Dhabi airport, on my way back).
