    Creator Of 'Kes' Passes Away

Author, Barry Hines ... the Barnsley writer, whose 1968 novel "A Kestrel For A Knave" - about a troubled youngster who befriended & trained a kestrel hawk - was later adapted for the screen by filmmaker, Ken Loach, has died at the age
of 76 ... a decade after being diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

Remember it on British TV as a youngster...Brilliant !!
Me and my mate adopted a young crow that fell out of its nest in Hertfordshire on the strength of that..We named it Joe.
It caused our families a lot of hassle as it kept stealing shiny things and returning them to us..
Clothes pegs were another thing it was fond of..
Just a bit of wind and the neighbours clothes went everywhere!! LoL.
