    Alcohol When Airborne

Cross~referenced with my previous thread on food safety while travelling ...

    See http://filipinaroses.com/showthread....hile-Traveling

... comes the following one, relating to the serving of alcohol when soaring through the skies - at roughly 500mph - at an altitude of 35,000 ft.

    www.nordan.org/activities/alcohol-and-flying

Now it's widely believed the potency of, say, one pint of at this altitude is equivalent to three of the same strength on terra firma. ... something to do with cabin air pressure, is my [very basic] understanding. But whether this is little more than rumour - as opposed to actual fact - well ... ... I'm not altogether sure.

Ok ... the article I've posted focuses mainly on Nordic and Balkan Airlines' policies on alcohol. But it could - indeed, IMO, should - apply aboard flights worldwide.

Don't understand your concerns, I usually have a few beers and then a small bottle of wine with my meal, does me no harm and I don't abuse anyone....

Water only for me. I want to feel as fresh as possible when the plane spits me out the other end.

Too much beer makes me frequently pee. The odd one on a flight is OK though.

Teetotal,i prefer a coffee and i normally buy 1.5 litres of mineral water from airside to supplement the water i get with meals, rehydration is important.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.
