    Thumbs down Eurovision Song Contest

Tonight on BBC1 at 8 o'clock for those interested.

Ach ... that! 31/2 hours of *utter [*literally] excrutiating crap - and a total waste of primetime airwave space - as far as I'm concerned.

Last time I watched it was around 1989, back in the day when it wasn't politically motivated.

I too gave up on this years ago, utter crap to me.
Spent the time on my family tree research which was a better use of time.
    Mick.

We, as a family used to watch it regularly throughout the 1970s & '80s Michael. Never missed it; but ... ... I feel the quality ISN'T the same nowadays.

I believe AUSTRALIA came second. That's how daft it is.

No doubt some folk will be making millions out of it though.

I believe it's because they are members of some sort of European trade body (or similar organisation totally irrelevant to a music competition).

Just as daft as including Israel I suppose, and that odd bearded ladyboy of theirs who won one (terrible) year.

Perhaps next year it will be a yodelling Leopard Seal representing Antarctica.

Only ever watched it on the odd occasion, it's just ok when there's nothing else worth watching

Just as daft as Britain's Got Talent featuring contestants who were born and still live in countries like Hungary.
