Reunited..

I've grown to really enjoy life here in Cubao.

Just today we were reunited with our belongings as we took delivery of our 29 boxes of stuff shipped from Davao to Marikina.

Our house there has undergone a huge transformation during the past month or so.
Today was also the day we took the decision to give our builders notice to quit and to arrange their flights back to Cebu at the end of the month.

The major reconstructions are about done, the internal painting is almost finished.
Still some plumbing, tiling and wardrobes to complete but that'll be done within the month.
Whatever DIY jobs need doing after this month will be down to me.

We made a decision now to keep the condo here in Cubao and will spend time here regularly as we both enjoy life here.

At the Araneta centre, just 10 minutes walk away from the condo, I notice that Boy George and Culture Club are having a concert soon.
No, I'll not be going to that one though.

Hope there are no undesirables in our little community

At the moment our builders will remain living there until end of the month.

Once they've gone we'll just be relying on the usual security locks on the gate and front door until we move in.

Anyway, we still intend to enjoy as much travelling around as we can so we'll be leaving the house empty during those times.

But of course you're right that having lots of boxes delivered does draw attention.
