Currently my only means of UK news is just dribs and drabs now and then via my pocket WiFi, when there's a signal, and local news on TV or radio

Getting what you want takes time and compromise here.
Which I one reason I felt the need to once again have PLDT install my DSL and landline.
Something they said they will do within 10 days.
