Accepting the offer, she indicated the Cabinet post - as Chairperson of the Housing & Urban Development Coordinating Council - was "an appointment close to her heart", in so far as it would enable her to push for progress towards improving the lives of the many underprivileged Filipinos through housing ... a long~held dream of her late husband, former Interior Secretary, Jesse Robredo.
