    Looking for work

Today at work i was busy and i heard this person come in and i just turned around and i saw a old chap dress well and i said give me a minute,
Anyway i got up to see him and he asked if there was any vacancies for warehouse work or evening work.
This chap must have been in his early sixties and no disrespect to him or anyone else of that age our sort of work is very physical and its all manual too.
You could see he was not in the best health too, anyway i said sorry we have nothing at all.
He then asked me to fill in this piece of paper, its for the dole office or another department he said, its to prove he is looking for work and he has to have so many attempts per day or else they will stop his benefits.
I asked so when he hands this back to them they will be fine, he said they have never asked for it, so i said could you fill this in yourself then and say you are looking, yes but i am not like that i want to work but look at my age.
Most probably this chap has worked all his life up to now, and this is what he has to do to get any benefits ,sad aint it

Very sad Steve, people who want to work and can't find it and the government tried all they can to screw you. This is first hand experience talking.
If you want your dreams to come true ...... first you have to wake up

Yeah the people at these Job Centres are just forcing people over 60 who have probably worked most of there lives to follow the same procedure to find work as younger people, if they dont they face sanctions (reduce there JSA) in the same way that younger people do, instead of getting the long term idle ....., this system gets the genuine unemployed folk out there, hence this guy asking you if you had any vacancies... What they should do is say that those who have worked for less than 75% of there working life should get this hard line aproach, these are the people who need to be targeted.. the lazy good for nothings that are in every Town and City in the UK..
