I think you are right Steve, you think your accounts starts at the beginning of each month but they could start anytime, like i have said i will question that i think the charge should be dropped for the stress and those not following what should have happened in the first place too,

Well, i have been following this thread and thought you were odds-on to lose the full £621.

Well done for persevering. That is a big chunk of cash, not just a few pound.

Thanks Rory, not finished yet, they made the mistake of not informing me that I had gone over, so I will point that out to them

Well today I had a call from another department saying I owe them £ 69+ and when I would be paying this bill,
I waited till I got home and decided to call them .
Would you believe it I spoke to another Debbie from Newcastle PET,
Anyway after asking has she read the report and that I am waiting for another Debbie to call me back concerning this bill.
I asked I don't think I should pay this as for all the stress this has caused myself and you know what ,she agreed too, as she said it was our falt that we did not text you about getting close and then going over my quoter .
She has put a hold on the payment waiting to hear from her boss,
I shall keep you informed on the out come

It gets better Steve, next they will be paying you for a full year's contract just to stay with them.

I doubt that Steve, ok Emma did use it yes by mistake , but they did not do what they should have done also, two wrongs dont make a right, but they was very quick to demand the money , i wonder if they had gotten hold of the cash how hard would it have been to get what they owe my back

Last year, 3 weeks before my supposed to be contract renewal, I decided to send a letter to Vodafone to cancel my account because I can't find a good deal for the phone I want. 1 week after, I found a good deal for LG G4 with them and decided to renew my contract. I sent another letter informing them that I just renewed my contract and to disregard the cancellation request.

2 weeks upon having a new phone and contract, they cancelled my account. After a couple of calls to their customer service, which I found out that is located in India, the person I've talked to said that eventhough they received my last letter of disregarding the cancellation request, it looks like their Tech Dept still pursued with the cancellation. So I told them to rectify their mistake and they obliged to do so.

I spent 2 weeks after that last call calling them multiple times (probably around 15 times or more) chasing them up to reconnect me but all I get is the usual apology and "we'll process this asap" and yet they still haven't done so. In the end, I gave up and just bought a pay as you go sim.

It'll be 1 year next month, I've had a free LG G4 phone from them and just toping up £10 every month for unlimited text, 100 mins & 500mb data.

It's not because I want to, it's the only way to do it according to their website. I usually prefer the online chat service because I'll have a digital copy just in case I need it.

This is why I have had a PAYG sim for the past 2 or 3 years.

No worries... and spend about 10 quid a year on it.

Got my landline bill today for last month... two quid for phone calls, which is about average. (£26 total, including my unlimited internet use) .
