    Angry So angry, so mad

I AM SO ANGRY , AND SOMEONE IS IN FOR IT, MRS WOOLLEY WHERE ARE YOU,

Just checking my weekly bank check and whts this i see, that cannot be right , glasses on WHAT.

£621 bill for ee mobile charge, no there must be a mistake, its usualy £12 per month,

Straight on the phone to deepest darkest India and the a chap named Derick answers , yes you have used another 99mb of internet and the charge is for that, so when did i use this i asked , the 24th July, i have not i told him, look at all the years i have been with you and look what i have used over that time, it does not work like that sir, you have used it.
Can i talk to someone else, yes sir my name is Andrew, again i have used it and the charge stands, but they cannot tell me what i have been watching or downloading or anything else that matters other then i have used 99mb costing over £500 plus 20% vat,
The bank is going to look into this charge but i have no idea what they can do to sort this out, i am off to the shop in town later to try to talk face to face with someone either to explain if its me or has there been a error,
If its down to Emma there is going to be fireworks ( BUT I WILL STILL LOVE HER NO MATTER WHAT ).
Need to calm down , have a cup of tea first

I hope so Simon, I know Emma she would never do this, yes she is on her tablet all the time and on her phone at home too, but thats WIFI from the hub so its free, they say 99mb at over £7 something equals the said amount.
I know one thing once this is sorted the account is being closed once and for all

The bank has been very good , but they said they will try to claim it back as i have not authorized it being taken from my account, even though its a direct debit of only £12 each month and they took out this large amount they could demand it back they say,but if we have use it then they can demand it back, i have no idea how that will work ,

Have a look back to see what you were doing on Sunday 24th July. You usually post most days so looking back on this forum should jog your memory, and maybe that'll give you a clue as to if it was a mistake or not.
Personally I have a 'Three' account that gives me unlimited data, so things like this can never happen.

Don't sound right to me Steve, I hope you get to the bottom of it. Unless of course the wifi didn't connect for some reason when Ems got home and the data was used. Sometimes that can happen.

It's Emma's phone and on that day she was at work, I know she would never knowingly use the phone without the free data, but I have to get to the bottom of this one way or another

Well i could get nowhere on the phone so i did go down to the shop and what a wast of time that was, all we do is sell phones you have to phone customer service to talk about your bills.

I did try to call again but i was getting angry and the person on the other end it was not his fault and i could not understand him or even his supervisor too, they just kept saying i have used it.

Then i shown Emma after telling her what i thought, THAT DID NOT GO DOWN WELL.
She remembers down loading something about tv on the phone but after it says you will be charged she says she deleted it, but obvious she did not, to tell the truth Steve, i have no idea what it was and i have got my daughter to check the phone to see if its running all the time.

The phone is switched off and its not going back on until i get to the bottom of this, what made it worst Emma did a little giggle but i think it was move nerves but i exploded ,
I am over it know its a great lost but Emma has to pay someway or another for a silly stupid mistake

Life's too short Steve, she didn't do it on purpose and you can't turn back the clock.
Tell her to learn by her mistake and be careful when downloading anything or following any links. Is there a feature on her phone that sends alerts when she's approaching her download limit, I think my old Samsung had something like this

Water under the bridge Simon, and guess what its me who is suffering now, i am smilling to myself when i read about what i am putting here, her giggle got me, i just snapped, i dont swear at home and i even apologized to her before it all came rushing out,
Like you say i would have thought i would have some sort of text saying i have gone over, i mean from £12 a month to this , its wrong.
I have not finished yet with EE, i shall wait till the start of the week then try to get a english person on the phone,
I do know i have lost the money

Do they not have a responsibility to warn you when something like this happens that is completely out of the ordinary?

Like Simon says, set the limit so the phone warns you when you get near your monthly limit. Most phones have that facility.

Mine does Steve , but i will get my daughter to check the phone again, while talking to the people about my problem they did give me a extra GB of data for ever and keeping the same price plan, but i did not want that, i wanted to make sure this never happens again but trying to ell them this is was hard

When connected to the home wifi, download Data Tracker. You can then see what amount of data you are using

Make sure that the data network (or cellular data in iphones) is switched off all the time, even in the house. If you are connected on wifi in the house and the data network is still on, it will still charge you.

Bloody hell Steve Iv been reading this thread, and i feel for you, i can only imagine how you felt, £600 is a lot of money in anyones language, personally i blame the phone companies, there should be guidelines in place to stop this happening.. I remember years ago there used to be a phone chat line run by BT i think it was called Talkabout, and i ran up a bill similar to that, later on i think there were many complaints about high bills, and BT stopped it.. Im sure Emms wont be getting new Shoes or Handbags for a while now..

Well yesterday I was over it, but I knew I had to make contact with the phone company.
So on the phone again today and straight away I am talking to India, what am I talking to India I ask , well it's if the British lines are busy it comes straight to us,
Well after trying to explain to the person I said I want to close my account, one moment, well the moment turned into a long wait.
The next minute ,can I help you, where am I calling I asked Ireland she said, after explaining to this lady and give her her due, she was shocked and said this is wrong so she will put me through to another department, and yes here we go again FFFFFFFFFFF in India again.
Do I give up and walk away from all this crap and start again
