Nightmare trip to Asda

Had to pop into Asda to go and get some pictures i had developed and looking around i thought to myself there is nothing as queer as folk.
You can get them in different sizes , tall, thin, fat, small, and different shades too.
And why is it you see more tattoos on ladies and on men arms too , is this body art , each to there own but come on when you see tinker bell on this large ladies ankle or some sort of moth on there shoulders ,well its a little off putting.
But its a free world for now,so we can do what we want too

Can't beat Aldi and farm foods, you know who you are there and so do the folk that you meet, funny how everyone seems to talk in these smaller shops

We have an Aldi in our village now.

I probably spend 5 minutes buying my actual shopping, and 30 minutes rooting around in their 'special offer' bric a brac. Some really weird, useful, and cheap crap amongst it.

I am currently sitting in a pair of their £6.99 'Workwear' trousers.. the ones with multiple pockets that you're supposed to use on a building site.

Actually they look like (and are) a very smart pair of top quality Chinos... wih loads of useful extra bits.

(Saving my £1.99 3-pack of Olympic socks for my next Phils trip.)

I walked out of Aldi last week. Only had a basket of shopping and went to the tills and every one of them had someone with a shedload of stuff in a trolley. After about five minutes they added a new till but someone with a packed trolley got in the queue before me. They saw how little I had but they didn't allow me to go in front of them. I always let the odd person jump in front if they only have a few items.

Anyway, Aldi should have express tills or self service ones. It's 2016 FFS.

Well as we walked around Asda there was this section of self service tills for small items around 12 with 1 person there to help and point a green arrow to a vacant till, and WOW there was another 3 full size tills with conveyor belts to self service your whole weekly shop, i wonder how many items somehow miss there bar codes on these tills

I'm also one of those old fuddy duddies who either ignore the self-service machines, or pretend (?) to be a helpless fool who needs the aid of a staff member every time, to work the thing . Saves me having to muck about with it.

I like the asda near me. If you shop in their (it's in a complex of shops) you get 2 hours free parking.
I don't normally go in there but visit other shops. Then pick up a discarded receipt on the way to the car, then when you enter your car registration in the car park machine, if you've shopped at asda it asks you to scan the barcode on your receipt for free parking.

Saves me £3 a couple times a week

Graham, your son is growing up so quickly, such a cute little man and lovely to see photos of him!

As for shopping, I always aim for the scan as you shop tills since they are usually empty. The concept is excellent if wanting to shop to a budget and to avoid waiting in queues

Thanks Rosie. Yes, he's growing and developing so fast now.

It's only June since I was last able to give him a cuddle, but it seems like very much longer. Frustratingly, I need to wait for the return of my passport from the Passport Office before being able to plan my next visit. That was sent to them at the beginning of July.
