Holidays and being ripped off

We all like a holiday and we all like a bargain too, but I am sure we all hate being ripped off.
So what do we do we budget and sometimes we have to go without the extra things.
I am trying to get a break in Venice a surprise that's if I can keep it away from Ems.
Anyway you know what it is like you start by asking would they like to go here or there and so on, and straight away I want to go on a gondala ( a long boat) that's if I spelt it wrong.
Ems that is so much money and a complete waste of money too, so I will not pay silly money,so what would you pay.
I know there is the ( long boats) that go from side to side of the grand canal and it's very cheap too, I am sure I will win this one, and ok there may be some long faces but you can't have everything can you.

Just my personal opinion, but no trip to Venice should be made without a gondola ride along the famous canals.
It's iconic.

Peter new iPhone 7 , cruise next month, Venice month after, Prague too, yes she is worth it but my pocket's are so deep

Last thing I'd enjoy would be a place packed with blinkin tourists... but that probably comes from having lived in York for several decades.

I would fancy a few days on our own canals though.... on a narrow boat. So much to see here in the UK.
