    Vikings Buffet Marikina

Just this evening we celebrated our English Wedding anniversary
with a dinner at Vikings Buffet Marikina.

We needed to submit our photo ID's and marriage contract to avail of a 30% promo discount.
That's a pretty good discount for a buffet dinner of approx P1k each.

    The ambiance was perfect.
    The service was good.
The cityscape view from our table was wonderful (after a change of table)

However the food offerings and the food quality did not meet expectation.
We've dined at Vikings MOA and Vikings Lanang (Davao) but sadly Vikings Marikina just doesn't satisfy.

    We'll not be returning.
Instead we'll continue our regular patronage at Tong Yang buffet which is far superior in all departments at almost half the price.

Having said that we had a memorable and eventful evening anyway

Never been to any of the places you have mentioned Peter, but i think some of the family had a celebration at Vikings Marikina the other day,

I think our expectation was just too high Steve.

Have to say it's a very nice place.
As is usual with Vikings, it was completely choc-a-block.

    Obviously plenty of money around.

That's a shame they let you down on the food Peter, on such a special day

At least you didn't have a slap up meal for your 40th, as I did one time with my (first) future Mrs, in Manila... and leave your money and credit cards in the hotel.

Funny you should say that, this part of the family are the ones who let us down with the house build, the furniture for the house, but could holiday twice to the Phils, buy a car for the daughter, and i almost forgot they would not speak to Emma for months after i refused to borrow/lend or give them a loan ,
But hey , they are still family
