    Well you probably know more than most, with your past experience Peter.

    I would imagine that the Philippines would be an extremely challenging place to both build and maintain a modern high speed provincial rail service ... much as it is desperately needed.

    It would be of concern to me if China were given a lot of 'clout' in the Phils though ... for whatever reason.

    Theres no doubt the Philippines needs a high speed link throughout major Islands, Maglev would it be suitably strong enough to withstand hurricanes etc?, i personally would think high speed Trains would be the way to go, as for China investing in the infrastructure, they are building our Nuclear here at Hinkley Point, so whats good for us should be good for Phills, however i do have doubts about quality of Chinese products lets be honest they are not known for being long lasting, more like use once and throw away...
