Very clever man.
First I'd learned of his passing was through a facebook posting by
a nephew of mine in Hong Kong; yesterday: "Aw ... poor Manuel!"
Apparently though, he'd actually died on November 23rd - after battling vascular dementia for four years - something else I hadn't heard.
Maybe ...... the newspaper journos had a lapse of memory!

Sad news indeed.
A real gentleman and a number of talents too by all accounts.
Thrust into the limelight by his clever portrayal of Manuel.
One of the best comedy series ever IMHO
