Well, according to Duterte himself, the Philippines doesn't need aid from the US and EU.![]()

...When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible...
It's early days. From what I've heard from an ex USA embassy official to Guam, once the the corruption is under control you can expect aid to increase 5 fold.
Better not hold your breath then.![]()
Forget Obama`s policies in regards the R.P..Thats all over now,or soon will be.
No one really knows what Trump will do and thats what really matters as he is the next POTUS in January...
As long as Duterte doesn't call him a "son of a whore" anytime soon, the R.P could still do OK.
They got off on the wrong foot as DU30 challenged Trump to a fistfight but now it seems that DU30 has reeled back from that challenge and announced that the special envoy to the U.S is non other than Jose Antonio...Trumps,Filipino business partner and part owner of Trump tower development project in Manila.
They'll probably get along quite well... Duterte and Trump.
Mr Duterte must surely be excited at the prospect of getting a US visa at last, anyway.
