    NOT So *EASYjet!

Frank Gardner, the BBC's Security Correspondent - wheelchair-bound for the past 12 years - has criticised the *Airline for its failure to provide adequate facilities for disabled passengers disembarking from planes ... following a delay of about 20/30 minutes awaiting attention after his flight from the French Alps landed at Gatwick yesterday evening.

Easyjet, it seems, is guilty of landing at some considerable distance from boarding gates with retractable walkways ... in order to save money.

"It isn't good enough" he maintains, even though the Company's management has issued an apology,"there is room for improvement", and !

This is more related to the ground services. Heathrow and Gatwick are pretty awful in general.

Sorry, but if it saves money for the other 95% of the population, I'm afraid the man (who can probably afford to run his own private plane) will just have to be slightly inconvenienced.

    I'm tired of minority whiners.

Fine ... call me a compassionless misery.

Perhaps ... but even so, ALL Companies really should lay on assistance for travellers who are less able-bodied - especially wheelchair users.

's not too much to ask, ... surely!

As my old mum used to say you get what you pay for Arthur.
Easyjet is a no frills outfit looking to cut costs at every corner.
I'm sure if Mr Gardner had paid a few bob more and traveled on the likes of BA he'd have had someone waiting to escort him off upon landing.

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

They already do Arthur (and often abused by 'pretend' disabled).

No service runs smoothly 100% of the time.

Of course some people .... especially famous attention-seeking ones, like to make a fuss over such minor hiccups.

At times like this I think of little kids in 3rd world countries walking miles every day to collect dirty drinking water.

Point taken, Graham ... such relatively minor [generally] short-lived discomforts, inconveniences, etc., do indeed pale into insignificance when compared with the truly heartbreaking plight of those poor little mites in the example you've cited, .
