I have noticed a smell of petrol in the car over the last few days and after checking all the things i thought off i could not find any leak.
The car was running great no problems at all other then this smell of petrol when i got out of the car or it had stopped.
Today i managed to get it over a pit and still no sign of a leak or anything, so a quick drive around the block and back over the pit and there it was, the fuel tank had split at the seam and it was leaking.
HOW LUCKY I WAS I THOUGHT TO FIND THAT.
The car is parked up at work now and i have ordered a new fuel tank for the car and its coming Thursday and i have the car booked in Friday to have this fixed.
The tank cost me £114 including VAT which i thought was amazing price, the cost to fix it well they recon around 2 to 3 hours work.
I do hope this will sort it out and they find nothing else, but i shall see.
