    Another bargin at Aldi

    Well i had a list of what is needed urgent from a quick walk around Aldi today,
    Bread , milk, sardines, cheese, butter and eggs.
    Well the extra stuff was wine gums, fruit pastilles and midget gems, chewing gum, paracetamol and what did i see being sold that i have never seen before, Tilda basmati rice 5kgs for £9.99p, Emma will be pleased .

    We go to the Chinese wholesaler and buy Thai rice in 10kg bags...

    Thats what we do too, but its in town so i thought this could be a standby , still a good price though

    Don't know to be honest, rice is rice to me. Harlene chooses it, so it must be ok.

    I remember Emma telling me about how they would queue waiting to get the rice many years ago, and it was cheap, cheaper and the next price was full of little stones but it was dirt cheap,
    Hard to imagine but like anything in life, we too was not as rich compared to some of our neighbours.

    We do also, Green Dragon Thai Fragrant Rice £14.50 10kg or £26.00 20kg

    We used to buy that one from our local Costco in either 10kg or 20kg bags depending on what they had in stock.
    Most of their rice was Basmati.
    Eventually the availability at Costco became unpredicatable so we switched to a local Chinese convenience store but the price was higher.

    There's a huge selection of rice hereabouts. Depending where you buy it and the quality of course price ranges from around P45 - P60 per kg
    Some of the speciality rice ranges from P50-P85 per kg

    There's some rice at P28 which I've tried once, but I really didn't like it one bit.
