As a kid my dad was the ruler of our house his voice bellowed above anything and his law was the law of the house and he knew everything too.
Later on in life as a teenager well the tables turned , i knew everything i ruled the house," well thats what i thought anyway".
As i got older and the more i thought i knew about the outside world the more my dad sounded like a moaning old man.
But know i am that older person and i am my dads son but i am my dad deep down too.
I would not say i am identical with his views ,but we are so closed when i look back on my life living and knowing my dad.
And yes he was right on many things when i was growing up, just like i am right with th things my children have told me.
I did learn a lot from him and my mum too.
