Doctors today

I have been trying to make an appointment with the doctor's now for a few weeks.
I have tried phoning and i am in a queue, so after so long I think sod it.
I then forget about what i was ringing the doctors for until the pain or you see something.
Anyway i thought i would try again and i cant see a doctor for nearly 3 weeks but i can see a nurse after trying to explain to the dragon behind the counter what is wrong with me.
I will be cross if then the nurse says i need to see a doctor.
Is this why some men don't bother going to the doctors i wonder?

That is not right. They have to offer you an appointment within a certain timeframe once you get through (48 hours?). Unless they asked you whether it was urgent and you said no. Many surgeries have evening and some even have weekend openings now. Your place sounds very 'off'.

What's urgent , that's the problem,
Last time i tried that i said i could be dead so i got in that day, anyway i was in , just need to wait now

Who knows anyway i am told i will be having a letter and appointment within 2 weeks, let's wait and see

Phoned at 10am this morning for my Daughter. Had to leave work early as they got her in for 11.40. I was due to finish at 2pm... So looks like i have to make up the three hours i left early today this week.

But turns out she had a viral infection and very high temperature which gave her a rash over her body and face which the doctor said was hives. So i guess with young children they get them in a lot quicker.

The thing is when do we visit the doctors, i can count on 1 hand how many times i have been in the last 10 years, could it be a case of out of site out of mind sort of thing. anyway its old news now.
