Off course. 5.20am sat in car, flicked switch. 5.22am drove off. 5.42 and 12 miles later arrived in Castle Donington ready for work

Yes flicking those switches are great, I flicked my alarm switch off 8.00 am and thought I would have another half hour cos it looked cold outside....

My last car had a parking heater fitted, complete with remote control.

Look out of the window in the morning and see a frost, press the 'on' button on the remote and 10 minutes later the car was nice and warm as well as frost free

I had a similar set up in the Middle East, but I switched on the a/c as opposed to the heater...

You need to run the a/c periodically even in Winter as the gas seals the pipes and prevents leaking....

It will use slightly more fuel but much cheaper than new pipes....

I am fibbing, i use aircon regular, it's great for clearing the windows quite quick plus it keeps you nice and cool in this stressful state of driving too.
