I hate level crossings. Where I used to live in Feltham. My road was a few hundred yards from one.
Absolute bloody nightmare, a survey was done, every hour, the crossing is down for 47 minutes... And this was a main road into town as well, so you can imagine the traffic. I used to know a lot of shortcuts, so didn't bother me much. But nightmare if I needed to drive that way on the odd occasion.
There was talk a few months before I moved that they were going to build a bridge over the crossing in the few years.
