I see it was in Thailand, they have some horrendous road accidents, they have just brought a law in where you are not allowed to sit in the back of a pick up truck because of the number of deaths during road accidents...
Thailand has some horrendous RTA's in fact if you visit a Thai cinema at the moment they are screening a really gory advert showing a motorbike RTA caused by a dog that appears abruptly, the guy has his wife on the back of the bike

I thought she would have been killed outright, either by the van or by hitting the road like she did.
