    A happy picture

Here is a happy picture that may put a smile on your face.
Can you remember your mum cutting your hair and yes a basin was sometimes used too.

... mine never attempted to cut the hair of either my brother or I. Instead, like most of our contemporaries from the post-war generation - the so~called "baby boomers" - we were sent to one or other of the local barbershops to be be given a proper scalping , akin to that meted out to Army personnel. Yep, a real short, back and sides which looked as though it had been done using a bowl (or basin) as you've described. , I really hated that style! Yet, I've noticed that, for some strange reason, it's become fashionable again.

Anyway, I wait for my Phils visits for my haircuts now.... 50 pesos only sir !

(I should think so too, considering how little hair is involved these days )
