... has anyone here taken notice of today's Google doodle ... commemorating the discovery of an ancient "computer~like" device, by a Greek sponge diver, 115 years ago?

So ... ... what is it? It is reckoned to be an analogy of an early archaeological, astronomical "tool" ... used in prehistoric times, for calculating the position of the *planets - as *they were then known - apparently.
