Quite a *summer (if one could call it *that!) it's been - with 's air passengers waiting (impatiently ) for "take~off" adding to the misery.

According to tabulated data released by the Civil Aviation Authority - based on statistics for the months of June, July and August over the past two years - this was frequently the case with the airlines operating [purportedly] "cheaper" flights from London Gatwick to European destinations.

It must be said, though ... ... [timewise] British Airways didn't seem to fare (s'cuse pun) much better!
