If you organize things yourself online with the hotel can be very cheap by UK standards.

I spent including the flights, licence, ceremony bits and bobs (ie. make up artist, MC, etc), buffet for 100 (but over 170 turned up...), transport for the bulk of the family, bought the new wedding dress + hire of 5 maids dresses and 10 barong tagalog, couple of extra huge lechons, 21 nights at the hotel, etc... Altogether about £ 1.400...
The all inclusive hotel package was £450.
    Cheaper than chips........
But I am sure I read a breakdown in the site somewhere.
    Here it is http://filipinaroses.com/showthread....=wedding+costs

    Found it..........

    Good luck

sorry to bother you again but i found it, it say,s around £3000 to £4000 so with the pound being low maybe £5000 is,nt to far out, mind you that was just the ring:

Pete's post is self explanatory, I don't have anything to add to that. Only that every situation might be slightly different.

I can only mention my personal experience, I might have been "Kuripot" or whatever, but the extent of my marriage related expenses are what I posted earlier £ 1.400, give or take a tenner. And it includes the flight and hotel stay.
As it was also a holiday for me, I don't include expenses for eating out nearly every night, presents to relatives, car trips doing the touristy "thing", blah, blah...
We got married with a civil ceremony in Cebu, at the Hotel.

All in all, for this money, you could not get to hire a couple of wedding cars in the UK.

A Wedding in the Philippines depends really on how grand and luxurious the parties to the wedding want the occasion to be, for example, if you want a lavish church wedding and the pews decked out in expensive floral arrangements, and the brides outfit is lined with diamonds or something like that, then of course you will spend more.

Everyone cuts their cloth according to their personal finances, like Aromulus, my wedding cost around £1500.00 but my best friends cost £5000.00, they wanted a sosyal wedding with lots of money for the reception, but it depends on how many guests will attend, if there is 100, some of the hotels do an excellent package up to a 100.00 for about P40,000 to P50,000 but then in Manila maybe the costs are higher than the provinces, which have been my experiences.

Everyone's experience will be different, so its best to make a wedding plan, see what sort of things you would want, and then cost it out to the last peso and see how your budget is.

Like others say worth planing out and ensure you get a good idea of the prices and keep a tight rein on them. You will find about 20 percent added on roughly to most prices since many on here got married when the peso was nearer or above the 100 mark.
