... do ANY of our members watch either - or BOTH - of those [almost similar] BBC television productions currently being screened after the so~called "watershed" on Sunday and Tuesday evenings, respectively?
Whilst the first~mentioned is a completely new Military Police drama set against the backdrop of the mid~1960s' Aden Emergency ... albeit filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, the second had, in fact, originally been screened as a one-off piece in 2013 and, as my thread title implies, followed the exploits of a young "cockney" female at a loose end, who joined a British Army Unit in Afghanistan against her parents' wishes. Then, the following year, a 5~part series was commissioned, starring a different actress. Likewise, the action was filmed on location in the African continent.
Tonight marks the second episode of a subsequent series of 'Our Girl'. Although, I've decided to catch up on the story so far on BBC iplayer ... having missed the opening instalment due to my attending thes' rock concert in Perth's Concert Hall a week ago.
Can't be arsed with programmes that feature folk getting shot atby snipers or
... being blown to smithereens by incendiary devices.
... give me romantic dramas any day, it must be admitted!
