2010 was the year the new bank notes were introduced in the Philippines, Aquino won the presidential election, typhoon Megi struck Luzon, and eight tourists from Hong Kong were killed during a hostage siege aboard a bus in Manila.

Ex forum stalwarts, Dedworth, Les Taxi and Gwapito were plying their trade, yours truly met Pampanga Maria and Arthur adorned a beard.

In the November of 2010, the one millionth Range Rover rolled off the production line in Solihull, Nigel Farage got re-elected as UKIP leader and Prince William got engaged.

CONGRATULATIONS, Jamie! 7 years is a long time. Time *does pass quickly, though, - especially the older we get - *indeed so quickly I'd forgotten it'd been nine years past last month since I myself, joined ! Together we've seen many changes, you and I ... including the departures of the stalwarts you've mentioned - each of whom will be remembered for having brought his own individual style to our midst. Okay ... ... sometimes we'd disagree with their views but 'free speech' is what makes forums like ours tick, after all.

Congratulations to Jamie, I'm in my 7th year too ......... 2010 was such a bad one for me (lost my dad and then my only brother sustained brain damage through illness in Philippines). Even though it's much quieter on the forum these days, there are still some great characters on here and plenty of support
