    They know when they smell that 'vet smell'... something bad is going to happen.

    Like when you went for your jabs, as a kid (to the doctor's of course... not the vet ! )

    Good job my previous dog, a Rhodesian Ridgeback, was co-operative with going to the vets. I wouldn't have been able to carry him in otherwise as he was as nearly as big as a Great Dane.
