Read the small print. Only applicable to pasty faced students.

Seriously, I can't find the offer although there's one going to Bangkok for £299.

I just check every week Jamie, our Singapore flight is quite competitive, since I booked a number of weeks ago I found it even cheaper by another £100 each, never mind it's paid for now

We had to make trip to Clarke from Heathrow at short notice and travelled on 29th April and returned last Saturday. The best I could find was £604 with Cathay

We have to return again in August and the prices are sky high. Don't know whether to wait a little longer, maybe some kind of miracle will happen, or bite the bullet and book now.

I found Singapore was the cheapest when I looked a couple of weeks ago at around £850 from Heathrow to Clarke.

    Any advice ?

    Who are you booking with?

Always check the prices for Manila too as they tend to be cheaper than Clark. It might be a pain flying into NAIA and traveling for a couple of hours to Angeles but it's certainly better than paying through the nose.

There are flights going to Manila from Gatwick with Cathay Pacific for £495 at the end of August but you would need to book by the end of May.

Try Kayak and then set up a price alert. Useful app on your phone too, as they'll just message you as the price changes.

Try Saudi Airlines, found them to be the cheapest into Clarke. Don't know what they are like though.

You're in our school hols period still, in August . (It shouldn't matter, I know...but ) . Look at fares after 1st week in September, if you can delay departure that long.

I considered them... being a particularly tight-fisted non-drinker, but then, as always, I read the reviews.

Are you sure? As far as I'm aware they don't fly into Clark, only Manila

I think you're right Simon although Clark have new routes springing up all the time especially domestically.

Saudi Airlines are the worst airline I've used traveling to the Phils. One of it's neighbours, Kuwait Airways, were much better IMO although my preferred route is via Hong Kong with Cathay.

I know, but can't odds it.
My wife works at school, so our holidays have to be taken then.
This is a big family get together so it can't be avoided.
The prices seem so high this year.

What dates are you looking at and are they flexible within a few days?

Try a search on all London airports and not just Heathrow, Emirates now fly out of Stanstead as well as Heathrow and Gatwick.

Is time a factor? Would you consider flying from Dublin for example?

Found one for £650 in August flying to Clark (Qatar Airways) BUT it's from Helsinki.

Do you have to fly into Clark, Pete? Why not consider Manila?

We are considering Manila too as a last resort, not sure I fancy going via Dublin or Oslo though, had not planned a grand tour....

Manila would be the next best option, yes. £3 on the bus to Angeles and if the arrival comes in on a Sunday morning even better as there's far less traffic. Gone from Malate to the airport in under ten minutes at this time on a Sunday before.

What dates and where's the final destination?

Sometimes cheaper to fly into Cebu and then get an internal flight from there, although then you have a luggage allowance problem. Where you may have a 30kg allowance on your international flight but only 10kg on your internal.

Here's a list of airlines that fly into Clark:-
