Balikbayan box rules and required docs... been sorted out yet ?

It's gone past the March 2018 date, to which the new stricter Phils customs rules were supposed to have been suspended .

Anyone know what's happening ?

Are foreigners still very restricted as to how much (in value) they can send ?

Has the suspension been extended ? I can't find anything recent on this.

Looks like the suspension of the new rules was only until 31 March 2018. So that means, the new rules are fully implemented now if there is no other news about it. No mention from their Facebook page as well. You can contact them and ask if you want a definite answer.

I have now spoken to the shippers.

The good news is, that the suspension of the stricter rules has continued.
