... y'know when I was a kid, there was a rhyme we used to chant, viz:-

Sadly,that's ^ fast becoming a thing of the past even here in

politically correct thinking on the part of modern governments which frown upon free speech by [ordinarily] law-abiding citizens.
Firstly, Dubai/UAE is a very good CUSTOMER of the UK... and that is probably the only reason why this and so many of the Arab/Gulf OIL States, and their medieval practices are tolerated at all by civilised countries.
So, despite what the FCO may be stating publicly, I can't see them doing much to upset the UAE rulers, by defending this rather (IMO) stupid woman.
